Default Delivery time after order status 3400?

How long does it take to typically get a C8 after your order reaches 3400 assuming no delivery delays?

I would say on the day your car goes to 3400, your car is built in around 4-5 days and if you live in a place that gets alot of corvettes, your car should be delivered in another 4-5 days. My C8 was built on July 7th (2021) and delivered to the dealer on July 12th.

Been noticing that cars are going 3400 about 10-12 days or so before their TPW.

I.e. If your TPW was 10/11. I've seen cars go 3400 with a VIN the Wed-Fri 2 weeks prior... like 9/29, 9/30, 10/1

Target Production Week for your car being built. My TPW is 10/18.. I'm at 3300 now.. so i expect 3400 and my VIN late this week.

My '24: 3400 on 9/11 with TPW of 9/18. It was built the last day of that week on 9/22, so 3800. She was marked 4000 (ready to ship) on Wed., 9/27, and with my dealer only being about 4 hours from Bowling Green, was shipped and arrived the same day it went 4000 on 9/27!

  • August 11 (9 days, 406 days total) - Chevy email - 3400, TPW 8/21, VIN issued (NCM)
  • August 25 (143 days, 420 days total) - Car produced

No regrets. White. Black red interior. 3LZ. Exposed high wind. Exposed roof. Black wheels red calipers. I’m so glad I didn’t get the CF wheels. I’ve already had a flat. Good luck finding a dealer. In fact my dealer wouldn’t touch my aluminum wheels. But lucky I have my go to speed shop.

Hate to bust your bubble lol but lots of us didn’t even realize we had a problem until the car was “shipped” (but they weren’t, they went to other GM facilities for repair)

so I would say… maybe a month, maybe 4 months

Several on this forum have been caught up in the delay of their car. Some have gone to Michigan others like myself the car continues to be missing in action. Supposedly it is in BG waiting to be shipped to my dealer. Tomorrow makes 8 weeks my car has been built. No guarantee the car is in BG - or going to be shipped anytime soon to my dealer.

The car has been invoiced to my dealer - no window sticker has been produced - it has been ready to ship for at least a week. The purchasing experience has gone from really fun can't wait to get the car - to pretty soon I'm going to walk away the aggravation level has now reached a point where everything is telling me this is not the car for me.

I have absolutely no issues with my dealer all of this is out of their control. My window is closing it is really unfortunate but I'm not going to wait much longer. I think by next week it will not be unreasonable to start a discussion with my dealer on how to best move forward.

Well, @BruceV , I am not claiming that some people here aren't having problems getting their cars. Only a few have them shipped to Michigan for some unstated reason. Others maybe waiting for parts that were unavailable at build time with those cars still in Bowling Green. Did you order something for your car that is not currently available? A completed car is not going to just sit in Bowling Green for no reason...

Now, if you are unwilling to wait for your car and decide to back out, that is up to you. If my car somehow gets delayed a couple of months, I won't like it and would express my disapproval to GM in hopes that they would resolve. But, I am not going to back out as I really want the car. When I ordered the car, no one gave me a guarantee on when it would be delivered. I was told 3 to 6 months was the current time frame subject to change. Did GM promise you car would done on a certain date? No, they did not.
